Maths at Key Stage 4

At Key Stage 4 we follow the Edexcel Linear specification for GCSE Mathematics (9-1). Set 1 have target grades of 9 to 7, set 2 have target grades of 6 to 5, whereas all of our Set 3, 4 and 5 learners are aiming for the “good pass” of a 4.  Homework is set regularly, alternating between a mymaths task and a written piece of work.

Learners in Year 11 will take their Functional Skills qualification at either Level 1 or Level 2.  They will then take their GCSE examination in the summer at the end of Year 11.

Below are the links to the overviews for the KS4 schemes of work.  They provide an indication of which topics we will be covering and when.  There may be some flexibility in the timings due to other curriculum activities.
