On Tuesday 22nd March, EMC Choir took part in this years ‘Sing Spring In’. This is a county wide project where students from 45 schools across the county have learnt the same pieces of music, which are then performed as part of smaller cluster events with other secondary schools. EMC have been learning ‘I Believe I Can Fly’, ‘Pages’, ‘Fields of Gold’ and ‘Dona Nobis Pachem’ in choir rehearsals on a Tuesday Lunch Time since January. On Tuesday 22nd March they went over to Aylestone Business College to take part in rehearsals and workshops and to prepare to perform back these pieces with Whitecross, Kingston and Aylestone Secondary Schools. In total there were 150 students performing in the afternoon from all 4 schools, 40 of which were from EMC. Each school also had to prepare their own song to perform, for EMC this was ‘Wake Me Up’. Miss Cooper would like to say a big thank you to all students who took part in the event, for all the rehearsal time prior to the event itself and to EMC Choir members for their excellent behaviour, enthusiasm and confidence when performing alongside other schools in the county. Well done!
